  18. YEMEN.  Bob, N4GCK, hopes to operate from a European embassy in Aden
  19. sometime this month.  Plans have been shifted due in large part to
  20. the continuing civil war in the country.
  21.  
  22. CAMBODIA.  Sanji, XU7VK, is active, however he will return to
  23. Hungary sometime early this month.  He has been heard on 80 meters
  24. between 3500 and 3510 kHz.  Also check 14220 kHz from 1000 to 1200z.
  25. Word has it that VS6WV will be in XU-land in late August, but his
  26. operating time will be limited.

  28. RWANDA.  Paul, F6EXV, aka 9X5DX, will soon return to Rwanda to
  29. continue providing humanitarian needs.  Because of his expected work
  30. schedule, amateur radio activity will be limited at best.  His QSL
  31. Manager remains F2VX.  Alex, PA3DZN, is also on the way to Rwanda.

  33. MARSHALL ISLANDS.  Ken, V73C, has been on 20 meter CW and SSB
  34. between 2000 and 0400z.  Also check 18146 kHz around 0230z.  QSL via
  35. OKDXA, PO Box 88, Wellston, OK 74881.

  37. THIS WEEKEND ON THE RADIO.  The ARRL UHF Contest is from 1800z
  38. August 6 to 1800z August 7.  Work as many stations in as many grid
  39. squares as possible on authorized amateur bands above 222 MHz.
  40. Exchange grid square locators.  Full contest rules appear on page
  41. 116 in July QST.

  43. North American QSO Party, sponsored by the National Contest Journal,
  44. starts at 1800z August 6 and ends at 0600z August 7.  Exchange name
  45. and state/province/country.  Check page 126 of July QST for more
  46. info.

  48. QRP ARCI Summer Daze Sprint, sponsored by the QRP ARC International,
  49. is a phone event that runs from 2000z to 2400z on August 7.
  50. Exchange signal report, state/province/country and QRP number if a
  51. member.  Non-members send power output.  Details appear on page 126
  52. of July QST.

  54. The YO DX Contest, sponsored by the Romanian Amateur Radio
  55. Federation, RARF, is from 2000z August 6 to 1600z August 7.  Work CW
  56. and/or phone on 80 through 10 meters.  Exchange signal report and
  57. ITU Zone.  Romanian stations will send two letters indicating their
  58. county.  For more information, see page 101 in August QST.
